While they were there, Jesus was born and put in a manger
A group of shepherds were watching their sheep when an angel appeared
"Do not be afraid, I bring good news and joy for everyone"

A child has been born for us
A baby boy born for us
The light's finally dawned
Sing glory to God

The shepherds hurried off to see this new baby that they were told of
Then they told everyone, their friends, even strangers, the wonderful news
Later on the wise men traveled from far off to come and see Jesus
They gave him gifts and said that he was a miracle

And we will call him:
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God, Eternal Father
Prince of Peace, Prince of Peace
